I decided to start the new year off by joining in on a collage challenge hosted monthly by
Mary Green at her blog
Green Paper. She provides a selection of vintage images to download, and challenges the participants to come up with a collage that incorporates all 3 of the images. Here is my offering:

a nod to Valentine's Day |
It was fun to do a little cutting and pasting again. All of the entries are so different--fun to see other people's take on the same challenge.
And now for some VERY belated thanks. Back in
SEPTEMBER, I won a giveaway hosted by
Karla Nathan. She has a regular craft day get-together with her pals
Mary Green (yes, same as mentioned above), and
Beth Leintz (all three ladies are crafters extraordinaire...click on their names to visit their wonderful blogs)--and they all decided to put a little package together of an assortment of crafty and collage-y supplies to share with the lucky winner, me! Each contributed their own special "thing": Karla supplied the vintage millinery flowers and ribbons, Mary gave a stack of vintage book pages, and Beth tucked in a vintage hanky, buttons, and rickrack. It's all very wonderful and I can't wait to play with it. I am pretty embarrassed that it has taken me this long to blog about it and to say a big "Thank You!" to these ladies. Better late than never. Here are a few pictures of my treasure trove:
